Tomas Rimeika

Uppsala's Håkan Hellstrom. Praise has been showered on Tomas Rimeika and his band since the third album "Den klarnande april" was released in September 2024. The Swedish tour visited 13 cities in the fall of 2024. HYMN gave the album 8/10 and wrote "Dreamy indie pop... that's how life should feel". VF's gave it 4/5 and wrote "Songs that succeed in the art of being both heavy and intimate in almost the same breath".

 

"The clearing of April sounds like when the ice is broken by a wild spring flood! Percussion, strings, guitars and passionate singing show the way in songs about eternal hope," says Tomas himself about the new album. Tomas has been compared to Hellström and Stenström and has also been praised by Popmuzik, NWT and Vakentimmar. Tomas Rimeika debuted as a solo artist in 2021 with the single "Säffle" and has since had over 140 gigs in Germany, Denmark and Sweden. The debut album "Byälvdalen" from 2022 gave a manifesto nomination as "Lyricist of the Year", and the second album "Våga" from 2023 was followed by a Swedish tour to 11 cities.

 

Live, Tomas is a whirlwind that tears down walls between himself and the audience. Crowdsurfing, sing-alongs and ecstasy are commonplace. Infinite is our adventure.

Tomas is represented by Rebellion Music in the Västergötland region, but books his own gigs outside that area.
