Diana Pilquist

Diana Pilquist is a 21-year-old artist and songwriter with a unique sound where pop takes inspiration from disco, soul and funk. With a musical background that ranges from childhood dance classes to musical theater and songwriting, Diana has always had the stage as her natural home.
 

At just 16 years old (August 2020), she debuted with the single She's in Your Arms. A song with a pop-rock feel. Since then, both her sound and expression have taken big steps forward. At the end of 2023, she released the single Break Up With Me - a rhythmic, energetic and funky starting point that also became the first track on her debut EP Disco Daydream (2024). When Diana started making music, she didn't quite know what type of music she would focus on. During her childhood, she had to be omnivorous when it came to music. Her mother, father and older siblings all had different musical tastes. At home, pop, rock, soul, punk, ballads, edm, disco, country and funk were played. But when Diana released Disco Daydream, she realized what direction she wanted to take her music, and then it was completely clear that the debut EP that would characterize Diana's musical future would be called Disco Daydream.
 

Now Diana is back with her second EP: “At Some Point in Time…” which is a reflective, loving and honest collection of songs about being young and living through both sadness and euphoria. The lyrics revolve around everything from losing someone you love to dealing with the passing of a parent. It’s music that feels real.
 

With strong presence, charisma and musicality, she is a live artist beyond the ordinary, something that the audience got to experience during her release concert for the EP At Some Point in Time…, which was on August 14th at Contrast Public House, the night before the EP was released.
 

With a clear vision, her own style and music that is both moving and touching, Diana Pilquist is an artist to be reckoned with. The future belongs to her – it's just a matter of time.
